[On the floor of the forest not too far from the southern barrier is something blue lying among the leaves. Emil decided to take Vyse and Asch's advice of finding something productive to do rather than moping around, but since he's not the type of person to always think things through, this means he's spent the past week banging on/trying to find a way through the barrier. Obviously, that didn't exactly work.

He's partially covered with leaves now thanks to the wind, though there's still enough of his outfit uncovered to be visible from a distance. It looks like he's been there for a little while. Poke/kick/tell him he's a moron?]

['Sup Emil, have a big red dog-cat-thing nearly stepping on you. He can smell a human, though, so he's stepping carefully. Or limping, rather; the stab wound Jaffar gave him hasn't fully healed yet.]

[He doesn't even seem aware of your presence; it looks like he's either asleep or out cold. But he will stir a little and make a slight noise, indicating that he's alive.]

[Walking, walking, OI what is that lump there.

Hm... a human boy, from the looks of it. Nanaki steps closer, wary after the last encounter with a random stranger in the woods, and gives him a little nudge with his paw. It's not healthy for a young boy like this to be out in the cold.]

[Again he stirs and makes a slight noise, but doesn't rouse. His clothes are dirty and there are bits of leaves stuck in his hair; from the looks of things, he's been out here in the woods for quite some time. One thing is for certain, though-- he's no threat at the moment, despite the sword strapped to his back.]

[Yeah, Nanaki's getting that impression. He's even more concerned about how long the kid's been there, though- he'd felt cold when Nanaki had set his paw down. He gives the boy another nudge, harder his time, and speaks in his ear.]

Excuse me- wake up.

[This time Emil opens his eyes just a tad and turns his head slightly to see where this voice is coming from. The source seems to be a reddish blur beside him, and even though the voice is different, the color is similar enough that he can't help the name that escapes his lips.]

R-Richter...?

...No. Are you alright?

[He can't exactly say yes, because that would be a lie. For some reason his mind feels fuzzy, making finding words rather difficult. Now that he's turned his head a bit, however, Red will be able to see that his cheeks are streaked with dirt and tearstains, his eyes still somewhat red from crying.]

[...Oh dear. The poor thing's in a sorry state. Still, it's no good to be sitting around outside, so he tries again, a little differently.]

Are you injured?

[He shakes his head a little. Well, this is almost true, considering that bruised hands and shoulders aren't life-threatening, nor will they impede his ability to walk.]

[That's a relief, at least.] You should return home. It's cold, and you're not well-dressed for it. [It must be so inconvenient to not have any fur.]

[The mention of "home" causes him to turn his head back downwards, eyes darkening. For the second time since he came here, he finds that he actually doesn't want to go back home.]

[And he cringes. That's what everyone keeps telling him-- that he should be happy that Richter is safe and home, but... does that mean he's selfish for wanting Richter back?]

[....Oh boy, looks like he'll be here for the long haul. Sensing a complicated situation, Nanaki shifts his position and lies down instead, resting beside Emil. It's pretty obvious this kid is no threat to anyone.] This may seem a personal question, but... are you both still alive back on your world?

I think so... I don't know. For now, I guess.

[It doesn't help that both Richter and Tenebrae refused to tell him exactly what happens despite being from later in the timeline. Still, he gets the feeling that it's not good, and that's not even getting into the whole "LOL I'm actually an immortal summon spirit" part.]

[I hope this is okay! Sonic will be out patrolling, and he's often around the southern part of Luceti. He spotted some familiar blue and quickly headed over to it.]

[Yep, this is fine! Emil's just lying there, either asleep or unconscious, but he's still breathing.]

Then you'll have to make sure he knows he was missed when you return home, I suppose. There's little sense in worrying over situations you cannot change.
