[It's the middle of a hot summer day when Emil finally returns to town after his fruitless search for Yuri's journal. A part of him knew he wouldn't find it, yet he couldn't not look for it on the almost nonexistent chance that Yuri might somehow have been able to fight the kidnapping droids off. As a result he's more resigned than discouraged right now-- a small blessing, really.

He's also shivering, teeth chattering, his arms wrapped around himself as he stumbles through town, thinking only of trying to get somewhere with lots of blankets and a space heater. He'd only stopped to examine that strange fire in the woods for a few minutes; it hadn't even been that hot, and besides, you can't come down with a cold from being too warm, right?

Maybe he should check in with Doctor McCoy just in case, but House #7 seems so far away and he's feeling so tired...

A few hours later, once he's actually made it to House #7, he'll open the journal and stammer a single short message based on vague memories of a couple of journal entries he saw earlier and the name Cheza gave him.]

H-hey, G-Ginko? I think... I think I f-found one of those mushi you m-mentioned...

[OOC: Feel free to run into him on his trek to the house; any thread with Ginko will be chronologically last for obvious reasons.]

...Emil? What're you doing?

[As Emil makes his way home, he might well take note of Charlotte wandering past him. She's got a calm and airy smile on her face - not that this is unusual - but she doesn't seem to really see him as she begins to cross his path]

Describe it.

[what are these social niceties of which people speak? The order is brusque, but quiet.]
