[The first sound that can be heard is a loud thump as the journal hits the floor and pops open to record everything that follows.]

[Emil isn't even aware that his journal is open and picking up all of this.]

[His voice escalates in pitch, ending in a strangled, heart-wrenching cross between a scream and a sob.]

[Door's open, come on in Ted. Emil doesn't exactly have the presence of mind to go downstairs and open the door for guests; he's still curled in a ball in the bedroom.]

[Then he'll just invade as expected. He searches for Emil for a while, before eventually locating him. By then, he still hasn't decided what to do. However, he does walk over and sits beside Emil, trying to coax him to open up.]

[Emil is not exactly very receptive to this at the moment, but he's not fighting either. It's like he's trying to get rid of the pain by curling up as tightly as he can around it.]

[Sigh. He awkwardly wraps an arm around him though, trying to comfort. Probably not going to work that well since he's not the comforting type.]

[You have triggered the cling response, Ted. Hope you don't mind Emil attaching to you and just hugging, because he's the type who needs physical affection.]
