[It's sunset before Emil makes it back to town... while he was lucky enough not to land in the lake after going through the portal, he ended up in the mountains instead, and it's taken him almost two days to get back. He's exhausted, wet, freezing cold, and most importantly, he's not back in his world. The portal also separated him from Sial, so he's worried about what happened to his chimera companion as well.

He looks about as dejected as he feels right now; every so often he'll stumble over something and fall to his knees before picking himself up and continuing to trudge on.]

[Well, he can't exactly say anything more convincing.] Did Sial go into that gate with you?

[Nod. And now he has no idea where the chimera is, which worries him.]

[That explained the hesitance.] Want to go look for him then?

[More enthusiastic nodding. If anything happened to Sial, he'll never forgive himself.]

All right, I'll come with you. Maybe he's not that far away.

[Here's hoping, but Emil doesn't even know where to start looking. He's going to try to mime "mountains" to tell Ted where he was deposited.]

[... Blinks.] Mountains?

... All right, we'll check there first. Hopefully we run into him at the base, and if not... [Trekking isn't exactly something he wants to do, but if he has to, he supposed he'll do it.]

[Emil couldn't make it up the mountains even if he wanted to, so no worries. Searching up there is out. But he'll nod to tell Ted that he wants to go look anyway.]

[Emil will keep his eyes peeled for the familiar little striped form while Ted calls, but with no luck.]

[Don't lose hope, Emil! Ted will just continue calling out for Sial, trying to get the chimera's attention.]

[Poor Emil. Damn it, where is that chimera? He didn't want to see Emil this depressed anymore.]

[Emil's really wishing he had some food or something he could use as a lure; Sial always comes running at the smell of dinner.]

[And they're nearing the base of the mountain too.]

[He shakes his head sadly and shrugs to show that he has absolutely no idea.]

[Great, and the base of the mountain was in sight.] Maybe we're looking in the wrong place...

[Noticing the look on Emil's face, he gives him an encouraging smile.] Hey come on, I'm sure he's fine. We just need to keep looking.

[Emil nods, though he doesn't really believe it. He's just not sure where else to look, considering he ended up in the mountains. What if Sial landed even farther away?]

[Ted would hope that wouldn't be the case. Still, it was a pretty grim situation right now.]

Maybe we should head back for now. You need rest. [Besides, once he's sure Emil's rested, he can go looking for Sial without worrying that the blond would topple over.]
