[Action] (Backdated to before all the craziness goes on next door at House 21)

[There's a lot of snow outside. A LOT of snow. So much snow, in fact, that it's preventing one Horatio Caine (who had stopped by for a visit) from returning to his own apartment. It could be worse; at least they've got food and shelter (even if they are running a bit short on firewood and despite Emil's little excursion out into the worst of it to go rescue Luke), and Emil's got plenty of space for an unexpected overnight guest. Sial is enjoying having a new friend to bother as well.

Right now Emil is trying to coax a few pieces of damp firewood into burning so that the fire doesn't go out completely.]

[And H, for his part, is trying to keep track of Sial. Petting him, the works.]

Thank you for your hospitality.

Nor did I. [And looking out the window briefly before...]

It's really coming down.

Not- [...] Not where I live. In other places, I'm sure it does.

Miami... is a big city. It's right along the coast, and warm most of the year.

[Lalala... taking a seat as he goes - he's old, okay]

Sometimes it does... but rarely.

[And he chuckles there] It... would be nice.

How much do we have?

[Just because that takes priority]

[identity profile] miamijustice.livejournal.com 2010-01-14 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
That's- [...] That's a good sense of initiative, Emil.

[identity profile] miamijustice.livejournal.com 2010-01-15 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
Yes- [...] Yes Emil, I do.

[identity profile] miamijustice.livejournal.com 2010-01-15 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
It doesn't- [...] It doesn't look very good, does it?

[As he looks out the window too, that is]

[identity profile] miamijustice.livejournal.com 2010-01-15 06:59 am (UTC)(link)
[... A pause and then he-] I miss my son too.

[identity profile] miamijustice.livejournal.com 2010-01-15 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Kyle... recently turned seventeen. [And he didn't meet the kid until he was fifteen, so he kinda feels like a jerk about it]

Emil... if you experience it, then time has passed.
