[Despite the light snow today, Emil is out on a mission, bundled up in about a million layers so that he looks like a rather large heap of walking coats instead of Emil. He's not letting some weather stop him when he has Things to Do. He's left a note for H as well just so the other doesn't worry about him.

His destinations today are several: House 5, to check on Guy after Luke and Asch's kidnapping; House 10, to check up on Rena (despite being told not to by McCoy, shh); House 21, to see how Fina's doing, and finally the clinic, to see Doctor McCoy.

Feel free to run into him at any point during his little jaunt today.]

[Guy returns with a tea set and a question.] "Pacts?"

Yes, that's part of being a Knight of Ratatosk. I have to make pacts with monsters in order to help return the Centurions' powers.

I suppose that would give you a different outlook on monsters. [Guy sets the tea service on the table, sliding Emil's cup and saucer toward him so he can fix his tea how he likes.]

Actually, I'm still afraid of a lot of them, and I don't like fighting them either.

[Emil will be putting... a lot of sugar in his tea. Someone has a sweet tooth.]

That's not unusual though. It's not as if they're not still dangerous, after all. [Guy sits across him to fix his own.]

Maybe not, but I think it's kind of unusual to have more monster friends than human ones. Um, back at home, I mean.

Maybe so. But mainstream is overrated anyway. [Guy settles quietly in the chair opposite of Emil and smiles knowingly at him over his teacup.]

Speaking of Sial, I wonder why the Malnosso didn't give us anything for Christmas this year.

I don't know, I thought it was something they did every year.

That's strange...I wonder why they'd choose that world's holiday to celebrate.

Well, there are a lot of people here from Earth... maybe that's why.

I guess so. I'd be nice to have a holiday from our worlds for once, though.

What kinds of holidays do they have on your world, Guy?

Well, we have seasonal festivals. Birthday celebrations, religious holidays; nothing really spectacular.

...though I suppose the signing of the Treaty and the day the world was lowered count now...

Ah...it's a long story. Needless to say, it's a very important day for us, so.

I'm not quite sure I understand, but it does sound pretty important.

We didn't have that many holidays in Sylvarant. I think it was because people didn't want to do anything that might attract the attention of the Desians.

Who were the Desians?

They were a group of half-elves who terrorized the people of Sylvarant and put them in human ranches to make Exspheres. B-but not all half-elves are like that! Only the Desians, and they're all gone now. Lloyd and the others stopped them during the Journey of Regeneration.

Hmmm...I think maybe I've heard this before, somewhere...

Or maybe I read it. I'm not sure.
