[Once again Emil is out wandering around the village, although this time he's got his chimera Sial at his heels. Sial is carrying a small stick in his mouth, and every so often he'll run over to Emil and nudge at the boy's leg until Emil reaches down to take the stick and toss it halfheartedly for Sial to fetch. There's clearly something on his mind at the moment if his downcast expression is any indication.

If you happen to pass the pair, Sial might come bother you to see if you'll throw the stick for him.]

[OOC: Phonetagging for the rest of the afternoon, I just wanted to get this up before the event.]

All right ... You looked like you were thinking pretty hard about something. Ah... I'm Polka. [Yes Sial, her hand may smell like delicious pastry goodness, but it tastes like a plain ordinary hand. Thank heaven she washed them! She might lose a finger. ]

A chimera? [He kind of reminded her of the chimeras back home - though they were much much bigger. ] It's so cute. The monsters in your world aren't as aggressive as the ones in mine, I guess... although they weren't always like that. [ A pause, and she motions at her basket. ] Would you mind if I gave him one? It's only leftover muffins.

[ It wasn't trying to nom her arm off, so that was safe. Smiling as she gets permission, Polka kneels on the ground, reaching into the basket to take out the muffin inside, breaking it in half to offer Sial a piece. The other is offered to Emil. You like banana? ] You can do that? That's amazing! I know I would rather make friends with the monsters and animals back home than fight them.

[ These two would probably have an apologizing contest, only she apologizes -in- battle and he apologizes -out- of battle. PFf.

Polka grins at Sial, who is painfully, painfully adorable and thank you for not biting her fingers -- either of you. ] I don't mind them - there are monsters everywhere where I'm from. Even in the forest I have to pass through to get to town, or to look after the flowers. They're not very interested in making friends though.

I'm not really scared of them... not if they're nice like Sial, and most of the time the monsters don't bother you as long as you don't cross into their established territory. Until they started to get so much more aggressive anyway.

[ Sold! XD ... wait, they're all blonde - they constantly apologize.. have blue or green eyes. Coincidence or conspiracy? ]

It's funny that people are afraid of them, when they don't really bother people - and when they do there's usually a very good reason - just like with any other wild animal. Monsters are no different. [ Pause, and a grin. ] Right Sial?

[ Provided Little Cuteness is done nomming the muffin, she offers a hand tentatively to see if it will allow pettings. She's never petted a monster before. <3 ]

I'm not really sure, but I think it had to do with the way everything was getting tense in our world. Baroque and Fort were on the verge of war, and there's the business with the mineral powder and the agogo's.. .I think the monsters were able to sense that trouble was coming, so it was making them agitated.

[ *DUN DUN DUN!* ]
[ And Polka is giggling now - the way Sial was acting she was having a hard time remembering it was a monster and not a cute, cuddly animal. She missed her cat. :( ]

Really? I guess... I guess every world has its problems. ... Oh, the agogos are spirit creatures of the forest. They were ... they were being hunted by Count Waltz and his people.

Count Waltz was using them in the production of his mineral powder. [ Small frown. ] I don't know how bad it is for the world if they were all hunted to extinction - March and Salsa would know more about the agogos than I do. But they were really good at hiding from people, so ...

So do I. [ Yeah, she pings to that. Majorly. Falling silent a moment to scritch behind the ears of Sial, thoughtfully. ]

Have you ever heard of Heavens Mirror? [ Well that's sudden. ]

[ She grins, shaking her head in turn. ] I guess you could consider them a treasure, but they're flowers, actually. Very special flowers. Mom told me a story about them once, when they first began growing though. ...I wish I could remember it all.

Wow, really!? I've never seen a flower that could do that.

You're right, the Heavens Mirrors are a bit different... actually, I managed to get a few seeds from home that came here with me. I'm going to plant them in the forest once the snow is all gone. It's the only place they'll grow.

[ Mildly alarmed. He touched it and didn't freeze? ] What happened when you touched it? I thought you said that they freeze everything around them...?

Hn, they're the only flowers that bloom at night. Or to be more exact, they bloom at exactly 2 o'clock in the morning. During the day, they absorb the light through their leaves, and then release it when their petals open - it's an amazing sight.

Oh, I see! You were pretty lucky then. [ Who knew there were such dangerous flowers. Well there was that one plant in her own home, but it wasn't really a flower as much as a plant so... ]

Well... I believe they will; it's just part of their nature. But I'll let you know when they've been planted, and you can see for yourself.

Oh! That would be a wonderful idea! I'd love to see that. Let me know if you find any, I'll help you plant them.
