[Once again Emil is out wandering around the village, although this time he's got his chimera Sial at his heels. Sial is carrying a small stick in his mouth, and every so often he'll run over to Emil and nudge at the boy's leg until Emil reaches down to take the stick and toss it halfheartedly for Sial to fetch. There's clearly something on his mind at the moment if his downcast expression is any indication.

If you happen to pass the pair, Sial might come bother you to see if you'll throw the stick for him.]

Hunted? But why? Why would anyone want to hunt spirits? Isn't that bad for your world?

Count Waltz was using them in the production of his mineral powder. [ Small frown. ] I don't know how bad it is for the world if they were all hunted to extinction - March and Salsa would know more about the agogos than I do. But they were really good at hiding from people, so ...

So they should be safe even if people were hunting them. I wish... I wish people would stop and think about how the things they do hurt others. Maybe then they could stop fighting with each other and persecuting anyone they thought was different from them.

So do I. [ Yeah, she pings to that. Majorly. Falling silent a moment to scritch behind the ears of Sial, thoughtfully. ]

Have you ever heard of Heavens Mirror? [ Well that's sudden. ]

Heaven's Mirror? [He shakes his head.] No, I haven't. What is it? It sounds like some kind of treasure or magic item or something.

[ She grins, shaking her head in turn. ] I guess you could consider them a treasure, but they're flowers, actually. Very special flowers. Mom told me a story about them once, when they first began growing though. ...I wish I could remember it all.

There's a special flower in my world, too. It's called Celsius' Tear and it freezes whatever is around it, but something tells me the Heaven's Mirror is a different kind of special.

Wow, really!? I've never seen a flower that could do that.

You're right, the Heavens Mirrors are a bit different... actually, I managed to get a few seeds from home that came here with me. I'm going to plant them in the forest once the snow is all gone. It's the only place they'll grow.

I'd never seen one like that before either-- that's why I made the mistake of touching it.

So what makes the Heavens Mirrors different if it's not something like that?

[ Mildly alarmed. He touched it and didn't freeze? ] What happened when you touched it? I thought you said that they freeze everything around them...?

Hn, they're the only flowers that bloom at night. Or to be more exact, they bloom at exactly 2 o'clock in the morning. During the day, they absorb the light through their leaves, and then release it when their petals open - it's an amazing sight.

[He nods.] They do; you get frostbite if you touch it for too long. I pulled my hand back before it hurt me too badly, though.

Will they do the same thing if you plant them here? I'd like to see that for myself if it's not something that only happens in your world. ... wait, you wouldn't know if they do that here until you plant them, would you?

Oh, I see! You were pretty lucky then. [ Who knew there were such dangerous flowers. Well there was that one plant in her own home, but it wasn't really a flower as much as a plant so... ]

Well... I believe they will; it's just part of their nature. But I'll let you know when they've been planted, and you can see for yourself.

Thank you, I'd like that a lot. I wonder if the Malnosso will bring some seeds from my world too... I'll keep checking in the stores. If they do, maybe we could start a garden with flowers from everyone's world, just so we can have something to remind us of home.

Oh! That would be a wonderful idea! I'd love to see that. Let me know if you find any, I'll help you plant them.

Okay, I will. And maybe we can ask some of the other people here to keep an eye out for any seeds or plants from their worlds as well.
