[This isn't the first time Emil has returned home to an uncomfortably quiet house. It's not unusual for H to be out somewhere during the day, but there's something strange about today, a weird feeling in the house that causes a sinking sensation in the pit of Emil's stomach. Hoping against hope, he's going to head upstairs and open the door to his housemate's bedroom... only to have his worst fears confirmed.

Once again, his journal falls to the ground with a thud, popping open to record a strained, shaky voice.]

N-no... no, not again... no... please...

[OOC: I know, I'm still on hiatus, but Emil wouldn't not react to his housemate vanishing.]

[ McCoy doesn't need to ask for directions (since he's a man and men do not require such things!) or ask what house Emil lives in. After the fiasco with Rena and the other kids that were injured during the blizzard earlier in the year, he came back and forth from the house to talk with Caine. He doesn't knock, opening the door and looking into the house. ]

Emil?

[He's just sort of curled up in a ball on the couch, knees drawn up to his chest with his face buried in his arms. McCoy's voice shakes him out of his daze enough to get him to look over at the door, though he doesn't really seem to be focusing on the man, instead just staring blankly.]

... I'm in here.

[ Emil, that is not productive behaviour, damn it. McCoy closes the door behind him and absent-mindedly pats Sial on the head as he wanders over to where Emil is curled up in a ball. ]

[Emil is just going to remain silent, both unsure of what to say and in an attempt to keep himself from breaking down. This doesn't hurt quite the same way it did when Richter was sent home, but it's every bit as painful in a new and different sense, one he didn't particularly want to feel either.]
