[This isn't the first time Emil has returned home to an uncomfortably quiet house. It's not unusual for H to be out somewhere during the day, but there's something strange about today, a weird feeling in the house that causes a sinking sensation in the pit of Emil's stomach. Hoping against hope, he's going to head upstairs and open the door to his housemate's bedroom... only to have his worst fears confirmed.

Once again, his journal falls to the ground with a thud, popping open to record a strained, shaky voice.]

N-no... no, not again... no... please...

[OOC: I know, I'm still on hiatus, but Emil wouldn't not react to his housemate vanishing.]

Why do they keep doing this? First Marta, then Richter and Tenebrae, and now Horatio too...

I wish I could tell you, but it's hard to understand what they think.

[He just kind of rubs at his eyes a bit, trying to keep himself from crying.]

It's okay to be sad. [He would say cry, but Vash knows for some reason men don't like to cry. He never really understood that.]

[knightofratatosk]

[Emil has grown far less resistant to the thought of crying lately-- he's kind of fallen apart on Raven and McCoy already, so what's one more person? Yeah, he's crying now, though it's just softly and he's trying not to make a big deal of it.]

[Sorry, Vash is a touchy feely guy. If you let him he'll pull you into a hug.]

[He's not going to protest at all, instead just kind of curling up against Vash and clinging as he cries.]

[Vash is happy to sit with you as long as you need.]

I never even got to say goodbye...

I'm sure he knows you miss him anyway.

[Emil will take a deep breath and try to compose himself now.]

I guess... I guess I should let his other friends know that he's gone.

It would be nice of you, but you don't have to right away.

I don't even know who all he knew, anyway.

You could make a general post over the journals.

Yeah. M-maybe I'll do that, but...

[... but that means admitting that he's really gone.]
