[Voice/Action] (Backdated to yesterday after Yuber's post)

[Anyone in the grocery store will be treated to a battered, bloodied Emil (la la ongoing thread, oops) stumbling inside and slamming the door shut behind him, leaning back against it in a desperate hope that Yuber will think twice about following him into a building where other people might be taking refuge. When several moments pass and there is no attempt to open the door, Emil slides down it into a sitting position on the floor and takes a few deep breaths. He's clearly in bad shape; multiple wounds are bleeding heavily, and he bears the marks of several fire and lightning spells as well.

At last he stirs and reaches over for his journal, which he dropped on the floor in his haste. His voice is shaky and strained as he says one thing:]

I think... I think I need some help.

[Emil will stop protesting now-- though he still remains somewhat stiff in the staff's arms, he's at least smart enough to realize that it's in both of their best interests to get to the clinic as quickly as possible.]

[And she'll have the staff cart him along as carefully as possible, burning down any of the Tease that get too close with her All Green attack. It's a speed run, but they'll make it safely.]

Where are they all coming from?

[Emil might just be clinging to the staff by the time they finally reach the clinic.]

I'm afraid I don't have the slightest idea.

[She loops her arm around his shoulders once they arrive, the doll carefully handing him over before poofing back into staff form. Litchi's ridiculously drained after this, but she's bent on getting him situated before she sits down for a break.]

But I do hope they don't stick around much longer.

[It's obvious even to his untrained eye that she's exhausted, so Emil will make an effort to stand without her assistance and slowly shuffle over towards the nearest bed.]

It could last for an entire week if it's an experiment. Or... maybe it's like the trees and it'll be over in a day or two.

I certainly hope it's more like the trees.

[Once he's situated on the nearest bed, Litchi will just sink into a nearby chair with a sigh.] It seems a little out of the ordinary for an experiment.

[He kicks off his shoes before pulling back the covers and lying down gingerly, mindful of his injuries.]

Yeah, they usually do stuff to embarrass us or make us angry, not try to kill us. It just doesn't make sense.

It doesn't add up at all, I agree. Hopefully some sort of solution will turn up...

[Now that he's all settled in, Litchi gives him a small smile.] Are you feeling alright? Do you need anything else?

[He'll return the smile, though it's forced and somewhat shaky.]

I think I'm okay, but a glass of water would be nice if it isn't too much trouble.

[In the meantime, he'll just be making himself comfortable in the bed. As much as he hates the clinic, he does have to admit that the beds there aren't bad at all.]
