[The journal picks up a bit of coughing as Emil's hand bumps it and knocks it open in his frantic search, followed by some mumbling.]

... w-wait, I think I found it.

[He coughs again, then clears his throat.]

Can anyone hear me? Fina and I... we were in my house, and... I-I think it collapsed. Please... someone help us! It's getting hard to breathe in here... please hurry!

[He sounds close to panicking as he coughs again.]

[He's coughing again, whether on dust or from the growing lack of oxygen in the rubble, it's hard to tell.]

[and she's there by now - dude it's like 20 feet from her house - and already digging. Probably helping Stahn.]

Emil? Fina?

W-we're over here!

I can hear you but I can't see you. Can you move around?

A little bit... we're in some kind of space. But if we move, we could make it fall down.

So you're holding something up? Or is it kinda supporting itself?

It's supporting itself... I think.

That's good. If we can figure out which parts can move then you'll get out of there faster.

[already shifting things]

What if you move the wrong thing?

We're gonna be careful. And you're in there, if something shifts wrong you can tell us.

Okay, but it's too dark to see anything in here.

[trying stuff anyway. Carefully, but kind of rushing it]

[All Emil and Fina can really do at this point is wait and maybe dig a little bit from their side as well.]

[soon a foot should come through the rubble in a solid kick] Emil?

[He's ducking down now.]

Yeah, some of it almost fell on us earlier...

[Busy clearing enough space for him to at least crawl out, and Fina too.]
