["Crowded" just might be an understatement. This wingless newcomer is just trying to find his way around the village, while making his way through the swarms of people at the same time. Not a fun combo, that.

[Emil backs up, startled, his instinctive reaction being to apologize despite not being the one at fault.]

[Still taken by surprise from the bump himself, Rudy was about ready to apologize right off. Of course, it's cut short when Emil is the first to do so... which isn't exactly what he expected.]

Ah, uh-- I prob'ly should be the one saying that. Didn't see you either. [Yeah, maybe he needs to watch where he's going next time.] Um... you okay?

Yeah, I'm fine. What about you? I'm really sorry if I hurt you or anything.

[He pauses, looking around at the crowds of strangers. Wow, the village sure got crowded fast.]

I've never seen this many New Feathers all at once before. I wonder if something happened to the barrier again...

[He shrugs, scratching his head.]

I just got here myself, so I don't really know anything 'bout that. [A pause.] What's this about a barrier?

The one around the village. It keeps all of us in and the people on the outside out. I'm not sure I really understand everything, but it's here for our protection too-- at least, that's what we've been told.
