[Talking with Adele the other day had served to remind Emil that he really needs to do more about publicizing Brave Vesperia. Okay, so he's been sort of slacking on that end lately, he'll admit to that, but he doesn't want to disappoint Yuri and Zack if they ever return. He owes it to them to do his best as a leader, and that's what he's going to do.

That's why he picks up his journal this afternoon to make an announcement.]

Hi everyone! My name is Emil Castagnier, and I'm one of the leaders of Brave Vesperia here in Luceti. I know I haven't really done much with it since Yuri and Zack left, but it's a guild dedicated to helping people around the village-- we'll do just about anything that needs doing, like helping find lost things, or even building buildings. Anyone can join if they want... you don't need special skills or anything. You just have to want to help out.

Anyway, I just wanted to remind everyone that it exists in case people want to join or have something that they want to ask us to do for them. I'll be down at the barracks for the rest of the afternoon if you want to stop by and sign up or if you have a job you want us to do.

Oh, um, and would the members who are still here mind checking in with me? I'm not sure who all is still around anymore. Only if you're still interested, that is. It's okay if you're not. I haven't exactly been the best leader lately.

[Once he finishes his announcement, he'll head down to the barracks, where he'll stay for the rest of the afternoon in the hopes that some people will stop by.]

[He considered waiting until Emil came back at the end of the day to talk to him then, but in the end he decides to come down to the barracks instead. That makes it more official since that's what Emil wanted people to do, or something like that.

So here's Caius, showing up at the barracks around late afternoon with a small bottle of orange soda in his hands.]

How're things going?

[The sight of his housemate causes Emil to perk up and wave, looking pleased to see him. And is that orange soda he's carrying there? Even better.]

Oh, hey Caius! It's been kind of slow so far, but I'm hoping more people will show up later.

I'm sure things will pick up, I remember seeing lots of people walking around at the last meeting I went to.

[He gives a quick wave back as he heads over, holding out the bottle of soda to Emil once he's close enough.]

[Emil accepts the soda with a nod of gratitude and opens it, taking a sip before he speaks again.]

Thanks. I know I haven't been all that great about reminding people about it lately, so it's probably partly my own fault. I really should've advertised it more.

Maybe. If you had advertised it sooner would you have just mentioned it over the journals or something like that?

[A lot of people seem to advertise for things like that after all, by using the journal.]

I think so. The only other way I can think of to advertise would be to put up posters around the village or something like that, and I think that might work better if I was a better artist.

That's what I was gonna say, try using posters instead. [That's pretty much all he could think of too. Dang.] You don't need to draw that well to make posters, do you? Just make them bright and interesting, cool looking.

Shouldn't I put some kind of pictures on them, though? You know, just to make people want to look at them. No one is going to want to read a poster that's just words.

That's why you make them really bright, so people will stop and see what they are even if there are no pictures. [...] What would you even draw for something like Brave Vesperia anyway?

Yuri said it was named after a star in his world, so what about some kind of star?

Is that right? That's Easy, anyone can draw a star, it's just five lines. [... Wait, recount.] Ten lines, for a five pointed one anyway.

Ten lines...

[Give him a second here...]

... wait a second! I think I've seen something like that that Yuri drew on some of the guild documents...

[And now he's rifling through them until at last he pulls one out triumphantly. On said sheet of paper is an image that does in fact bear a strong resemblance to a star.]

Aha, here it is!

Well you don't need to be an artist to be able to draw that, it looks simple enough!

[A circle and a four pointed star-thing? Yeah, even he thinks he could manage to draw something like that.]

You could put that on the posters, and then colour it in and add all the details you need along with it. Sounds good, yeah?

Yeah! We could even do different colors on the different posters to attract more attention.

[Emil sounds pleased by this new development.]

That would probably be a lot more useful than just waiting around here every month and hoping people show up.

Right, they'll help bring in way more people than there are coming in now. Or they should at least get people a little interested, something like that.

[Hopefully they should anyway.]

Plus putting up posters shows you're doing more than just waiting around, it's a good idea no matter how you look at it.

[AND THEN EMIL GETS A BRILLIANT IDEA.]

Hey, I've got an idea... how would you like to be the one in charge of the posters?

[Delegating responsibility like a leader, aww yeah.]

[He really can't say no to being put in charge of something. Heck yeah responsibility.]

That'd be great! Uh, I've never actually made posters before though. [Just seen them.] But the way we've been talking about it makes it seem like it'll be no problem.

[Excellent.]

That's okay, we can make a few together and then you can work on the rest of them yourself. How does that sound?

Sounds good! Once I've got the layout or the design or whatever it is down I'll be fine to make the rest.

How many do you think we'll need? We could have a poster in each shop, then maybe a few others around elsewhere.

Hmm... I think twenty should be more than enough. That way we can put some in the shops and then some around the plaza and maybe in the community housing buildings too. That way just about everyone should see them at some point.

Ah yeah, I didn't think about the community buildings. I'll see if I can pick up some paper and other stuff we might need on the way home later.

Paper and markers and maybe some tape to hang them up with. I think that should be everything we'll need to make posters.

Alright then, if you think that's everything. Maybe I'll pick up some extra supplies and try making some of my own first, before you get back.

[They'll probably end up being complete eyesores, but the point is he's going to try.]

I think so! Besides, if we forget anything, we can always just go get it later. The store's not that far away.

[GOLD STAR, CAIUS. You tried.]

I suppose so. Or I could just tell you to get anything extra over the journals before you come back later. When do you think you'll be coming home anyway?
