[Talking with Adele the other day had served to remind Emil that he really needs to do more about publicizing Brave Vesperia. Okay, so he's been sort of slacking on that end lately, he'll admit to that, but he doesn't want to disappoint Yuri and Zack if they ever return. He owes it to them to do his best as a leader, and that's what he's going to do.

That's why he picks up his journal this afternoon to make an announcement.]

Hi everyone! My name is Emil Castagnier, and I'm one of the leaders of Brave Vesperia here in Luceti. I know I haven't really done much with it since Yuri and Zack left, but it's a guild dedicated to helping people around the village-- we'll do just about anything that needs doing, like helping find lost things, or even building buildings. Anyone can join if they want... you don't need special skills or anything. You just have to want to help out.

Anyway, I just wanted to remind everyone that it exists in case people want to join or have something that they want to ask us to do for them. I'll be down at the barracks for the rest of the afternoon if you want to stop by and sign up or if you have a job you want us to do.

Oh, um, and would the members who are still here mind checking in with me? I'm not sure who all is still around anymore. Only if you're still interested, that is. It's okay if you're not. I haven't exactly been the best leader lately.

[Once he finishes his announcement, he'll head down to the barracks, where he'll stay for the rest of the afternoon in the hopes that some people will stop by.]

Kind of, but doesn't the S.O.S. Brigade do a lot of things besides just helping people out?

I think that's the main idea, at least. Our badges have enchantments, but that's just a member benefit.

Nothing major. It just helps enhance my magical abilities! When I have them.

So does everyone who joins the Brigade get a magical badge?

Yeah, but I don't know how useful it is if you can't use magic!

You have to be able to use magic in order to use it?

[Well, that's a disappointment.]

What's the point in having a magical badge that only works if you can already use magic in the first place?

[ Twilight gives a sympathetic shrug. ] I keep hearing about elemental spirits in Luceti - maybe you could learn how to use them?

Oh, I've already made pacts with all of those. I meant magic that doesn't use their powers.

Well... I could try to teach you when I'm back to normal! But you're not a unicorn, so I don't know if it would do much good. Sorry, Emil.

It can't hurt to try, right?

Quite the opposite! Well, unless what you're trying is particularly dangerous, but the worst that could happen in this case is that it doesn't work. And that won't hurt anypony at all!

Exactly! It probably won't work since I can't use any magic in my world, but you never know until you try. Maybe I'll end up being lucky.
