What the hell were you thinking, telling him that? Are you trying to betray me? I thought you were the one who said we shouldn't be altering the timeline, or was that just a lie too?

You'd better have a damn good explanation for this.

So Aerith and Colette are back, huh? Looks like the Malnosso can't stand being without some of their favorite subjects for long. How many times has it been now, anyway?

Hey, Malnosso, if you're going to bring them back, where the hell is Marta? If you need to trade for someone, send Richter home instead. The place would be a lot nicer without him around.

You know, now that I think about it, Richter hasn't been kidnapped at all. Maybe you should do something about that while you're on your little kidnapping spree.

He may be a bit on the shy side, but with a will that strong to protect his friends, I refuse to believe that he's weak and can't fight! So are you the one that's holding him back?

And you think he isn't trying? Training with a friend is much more effective than doing it alone, especially with unmoving targets since there are no monsters here. Yet he won't even do that with anyone, and I bet you're the reason! whatever that you're doing, you're not exactly letting him learn, either! I'd say that you're the one holding him back, here!

Oh, really? Then I wonder why he would go around telling people he can't, because it may be dangerous? I couldn't understand at all first - he wouldn't explain, either, saying that it's complicated - but if you're the cause, then that would explain everything!

So just how are you helping him right now, when he's afraid of training with anyone because of you?

Do you expect me to believe that? Emil is kind of shy, sure, but if he did decide so, then there's no way that it was done without reason! If your actions are terrible enough to make him think that training with anyone might become dangerous, then his inability to fight another to get stronger will be your fault as well! Mainly your fault, actually, in my opinion!

Hmph! Having friends doesn't make you weaker - they only make you stronger! It's only natural to protect a friend, and you should never underestimate the amount of power that could be drawn from others' support and a desire to protect! If you really fight for him all the time, then how do you expect him to learn anything if you take over at any opportunity?

So he idolizes him for being strong, and be there when he needs him. What's wrong with that? I don't think that you understand Emil's desire to become stronger, Ratatosk: he wants to protect his friends, and that includes becoming strong enough to protect the ones who once protected him. You may be in the same body as him, but you sure don't understand him!

[She's extremely confident and determined when she says this.] Then you are the one who sorely underestimates Emil's true strength! The desire to protect itself stems from having been protected in the past - as long as we have something we treasure, we will always do what we can so that nothing happens to what we hold the dearest. You don't know people at all, do you? Friends are among the dearest things anyone can have. You can brag about being better at fighting all you want, Ratatosk, but when all's done, I have no doubt that Emil can become stronger than you if you weren't the one making presumptions and pushing him off every chance you've got! How's anyone supposed to learn, with a guy that pushy sharing the same body with them?

What? Is it because you don't have any? Though that would certainly explain why you would be so ignorant about that!

[Voice]

[identity profile] omelets-of-fury.livejournal.com 2009-05-04 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Then you'll just never understand what true strength is!

Because Emil is part of you, whether you like it or not! He'll grow stronger, just you watch!

Hmph! We certainly will!
