[It's just another day in Luceti, with a creepy eclipsed sun and monsters falling out of the sky everywhere. There's someone out and about who seems to be enjoying this, however-- Ratatosk (currently with blood-red wings instead of his normal black, thanks to the effects of whatever it is that's going on) is out wandering around with several assorted monsters trailing behind him. He's right in his element amongst all of these summons who seem to dislike the humans just as much as he does. New allies = awesome. Being stuck in Luceti for more than two years now = not so awesome.

This combination of things has made him extra-aggressive, so approach with caution.]

(OOC: Just as a warning, any character who approaches Ratatosk stands a fairly good chance of being attacked at some point. If you want your character to get injured, just let me know how/how badly.)

[Emil can be found outside of House 20 trying in vain to patch a rather sizable hole in one of the walls, the result of a pissed-off Ratatosk (in a thread that hasn't been finished yet, oops) trying to get Vyse and Stahn out of his house. It's obvious that he doesn't know what he's doing and he doesn't have the proper tools to do a real repair; he's just trying to block up the hole as best he can to keep the snow and the wind out.

It doesn't look like it's working that well.]

It's about damn time he let me out again. Looks like he finally realized what he should've been doing all along.

[Action]

[Ratatosk is currently sitting on the couch in House 18 looking very smug indeed. Now that Richter is gone and Emil isn't putting up a fight, his life is much easier. Beware, he'll be even more of an insufferable jerk than usual, because now he's a HAPPY jerk.]

[His voice is calm, level, yet if you listen you can tell that it's somewhat strained as he speaks.]

... I know I've been apologizing a lot lately, but... I wanted to say I'm sorry to anyone I upset over the past week. I can't keep making excuses for it no matter how much I want to. What I said was wrong, and I apologize.

[He sighs.]

I'm just glad that everyone is all right after what happened.

[Considering he just woke up about 30 minutes ago after being out cold as a result of spending such an extended period of time in Ratatosk Mode, Emil has only a vague idea of what happened. All he knows is that it wasn't good, but he hasn't had the time to do more than skim the journals to see what he missed-- meaning, of course, that he spotted his own earlier entry. Well, Ratatosk's entry. You'd better believe he went through all of the comments in that one. He doesn't know any of the details of the battle, nor does he have any memories of fighting in it.

Right now he's just sitting in bed and flipping through the journal, looking unusually solemn.]

If this is how you handle something that isn't even a threat yet, it's no wonder the Malnosso were able to capture all of you so easily. What good do you think flailing and panicking over the journals is going to do? All you're doing is encouraging these intruders and the Malnosso.

Everyone here really is pathetic.

So Aerith and Colette are back, huh? Looks like the Malnosso can't stand being without some of their favorite subjects for long. How many times has it been now, anyway?

Hey, Malnosso, if you're going to bring them back, where the hell is Marta? If you need to trade for someone, send Richter home instead. The place would be a lot nicer without him around.

[There are crashing noises and the sounds of things breaking in the background... sounds like somebody is going on a rampage.]

Where is she? WHERE IS SHE? If those damn Malnosso have hurt her, I'll tear them apart!

[Another crash.]

Cowards! Why won't you show yourselves? Come out and fight me one-on-one!

[OOC: He is currently trashing Marta's old apartment looking for her... Alice will undoubtedly hear this.]

This is the worst damn experiment yet. How long is this going to last? Everyone else is turning back to normal, so why the hell do I still have these?!

When I find these Malnosso, I'm going to make them pay for this.

[OOC: Yep, Ratatosk is still a girl. Feel free to troll the heck out of him and tease him about having a sexy voice as Ratatosk.]

[His voice is tired and shaky, but with an obviously forced cheerfulness.]

I, um... i-if I did anything to hurt anyone during this experiment, I-I'm really sorry. Everyone else is okay, r-right? Some of the things people got turned into were pretty scary.. I'm g-glad this is all over with.

I-I hope we don't have another experiment like that any time soon. I think I liked the ones that didn't involve being changed into anything b-better.

[OOC: Yeah, the kid is stammering like crazy because he's sitting out in the snow without a coat. Ratatosk, you are a genius.]

[Well, look who it is... his voice is deeper, rougher than Emil's normal soft tenor and will be immediately noticeable as different.]

Looks like this experiment isn't so bad after all. It's given me enough power to take over for a while... and not soon enough. Don't think I've forgotten what you did, Yuri-- I don't intend to let you get away with that, and Richter, that goes double for you.

Oh, and before anyone yells at me for it, don't worry about him. He's just sleeping right now. I haven't done anything to him if that's what you're thinking.

[Although he's been healed by now and had everything explained to him, that really hasn't made Emil feel better about the entire situation at all... in fact, he feels worse now that he knows how the whole thing started and that it was in fact his fault. Well, to be more accurate, it was Ratatosk's fault, but that's the same thing.

This is why, once he reaches House #20, he enters without a word to either Richter or Tenebrae and proceeds upstairs to the spare bedroom. There is the soft click of a lock as he shuts the door behind him.]
