[Sunset finds Emil trudging back to the village after having spent the previous day and a half trying in vain to break the barrier in an attempt to get Richter and Tenebrae back. He's obviously exhausted, and his shoulders and upper arms are covered in bruises from where he slammed himself against the barrier once he realized hitting it with his sword wasn't going to work. Clearly he's not his usual cheerful self right now; in fact, he seems almost on the verge of tears.

Feel free to run into him as he heads back home.]

[At the touch on his shoulder, he winces as well.]

I-I tried to break the barrier. I knew it wasn't going to work, but I had to try.

[Noticing the wince, she lifts her hand off, leaving it to sort of hover above his shoulder.]

... Where does it hurt most Emil-kun? I can try and fix it.

[He sighs.]

My shoulders. I tried to ram the barrier with them when my sword didn't work.

[She nods, gently pulling his shirt to the side she she can press her hand lightly against his shoulder. Blushing heavily, she closes her eyes, a violet glow starting as she does her best to fix his shoulder. She inhales suddenly, the glow stopping, blinking as she tries not to fall over.]

Is... Is it any better now?

[Carefully he rotates his shoulder to check, and... hey, it doesn't hurt as much! Not bad at all!]

Wow, that helped a lot! Thanks, Hotaru... I had no idea you were a healer.

Mhmm... it's no problem... I wish I could do better... but my healing isn't that strong normally.

[She gives Emil a weak smile, pressing her temple to try and stop the coming headache]

Do you need any help with the other shoulder?

[He shakes his head.]

I'll be fine, but you don't look so good. You didn't use too much energy, did you?

I'll be okay. It's just a small headache and slight fatigue. It always happens. I just need to sit for a few minutes and regain my strength.

Is it really safe for you to be healing people if it makes you feel sick like that?

[She gives him a small smile] Is it really safe for you too be beating yourself up to try and save others? Sometimes we do things where others are more important than ourselves.

Beside, I want to be a nurse. I want to help others, even if it hurts me.

[She laughs softly, finally managing to stand without experiencing small black outs. Brushing off her shirt she gives Emil a smile.] I'm not saying it as if it's a bad thing Emil-kun. If I was in your place, I would probably do the same. It shows how much you care for your friends.

Just the thought of the Malnosso hurting them makes me so angry I want to scream. I don't want them to have to go through what I did when I was kidnapped.

Unfortunetly all we can do is wait for them to return and help them recover. As soon as a way too stop these kidnappings from happening, we will be able to help them properly. But for now we must do what we can.

But I can barely even heal... if Richter and Tenebrae are hurt, all I can do is look after them.

It was the same with Mako-san when she came back. She wouldn't let me heal her, so we just had to nurse her back to help. Sometimes it is all you can do. And sometimes it's just what they need.

If it helps though, when your friends return, I could come and help. If you wanted.

That's okay. A lot of people here seem to get grouchy when you try and help them. I can deal with it.
