[It's sunset before Emil makes it back to town... while he was lucky enough not to land in the lake after going through the portal, he ended up in the mountains instead, and it's taken him almost two days to get back. He's exhausted, wet, freezing cold, and most importantly, he's not back in his world. The portal also separated him from Sial, so he's worried about what happened to his chimera companion as well.

He looks about as dejected as he feels right now; every so often he'll stumble over something and fall to his knees before picking himself up and continuing to trudge on.]

[Okay, he can probably handle that as long as they can stop to rest, so he'll take the hand and pull himself to his feet.]

[Nod. He'll be looking too, of course, but he can't really call for the chimera the way he is now.]

[Sheena, you have no idea. He's not going to agree with her, though; he doesn't want to let her know what kind of shape he's in.]

[she can sort of tell by looking at him. Don't make her pull the tea thing again]

Let's at least get you warmed up first. [carefully not denying him a search party adventure afterward]

[Warm, warm is good... he might be shivering a little bit even with the coat. He's been out in the cold for two days straight, after all.]

[He's going to head for his own house out of instinct.]

...C'mon, there's already a fire going at my place. I don't think you can wait for me to start one in yours.

[Now he hesitates. He wants to be alone and yet he doesn't, especially since he can't even talk at the moment.]

Emil, you're freezing.

[He shakes his head. He's fine, really... well, he'll be fine enough until he gets to his house, at least.]

[you are not arguing with her on this. You're just coming along]

[But Emil can be stubborn when he wants to be, and right now he'd rather just go home where he can be alone.]

[fine then. But she's coming with him]

[Okay, fine. The house is pretty empty and quiet, though, so he'll look somewhat apologetic as he opens the door.]

[she doesn't care. The first thing she's doing, after making Emil sit down on the sofa, is starting a fire]

[No complaints here. It's freezing in the house, though there are plenty of extra blankets in the closet.]

[fire first. Then she will hunt for blankets. If they were in her house everything'd already be ready...]

It's freezing in here, Emil.

[He knows, but there isn't much he can do about it besides having a fire in the fireplace. That takes effort, though, and he's hardly felt motivated to do anything lately.]

Next you're gonna get sick or something.

[there is a nice fire now, though, and here, have a pile of blankets on top of you]

[Knowing his awful luck? That wouldn't be surprising.

... oh hey, blankets. Now he can make a nice little nest and curl up so that only his head is sticking out. It probably looks ridiculous, but at least it's nice and warm.]
