[This isn't the first time Emil has returned home to an uncomfortably quiet house. It's not unusual for H to be out somewhere during the day, but there's something strange about today, a weird feeling in the house that causes a sinking sensation in the pit of Emil's stomach. Hoping against hope, he's going to head upstairs and open the door to his housemate's bedroom... only to have his worst fears confirmed.

Once again, his journal falls to the ground with a thud, popping open to record a strained, shaky voice.]

N-no... no, not again... no... please...

[OOC: I know, I'm still on hiatus, but Emil wouldn't not react to his housemate vanishing.]

Well, seeing as his mid-section is still sore from his Desu Desu Adventures in Kidnapping and his hearing on his right side is still mostly funky--] ... If you want to get away for a little while, you're free to stop by.

Are you sure? I mean, you just came back from a kidnapping and everything; I-I don't want to bother you...

Nah, you wouldn't be bothering me. It's not like I've got much else to do, aside from sitting around and flipping through the journal all day.

How are you feeling, anyway? I never got the chance to ask you after I talked to you when you first came back.

I'm all right. Still need to take it easy for a while longer, but that's no big deal.

You weren't hurt at all?

I was, but ... well, the wound was already [mostly] closed by time they let me out. It's just sore, that's all.

I'm glad. I know you told me not to, but I couldn't help worrying about you.

[Ffff, geez Emil. You and your worrying.] Sorry for worrying you, then.

[It's what he does best, along with apologizing.]

I never did get to take you that soup I made... maybe I can bring it by tomorrow.

[This is Emil, trying to distract himself.]

All right, fine by me. Just let me know before you drop by.

O-okay...

[He can't quite hide the fact that his voice is shaking.]

[... Oh geez Emil.]

... Or you could just drop by now. It doesn't bother me either way.

Are you sure you wouldn't mind?

I wouldn't offer if I minded it.

Then... I'll be over in a few minutes.

All right. [And he'll just be ... waiting. Yes.]

[Several minutes later, there will be a light knock on the door, because Emil is too polite to just come barging in.]

[Yuri was already near the door at the time (or at least he was just heading in to the living room), so the door is opened shortly after Emil knocks. Yuri steps out of the way, gesturing for Emil to come in.]

[Emil steps inside and then just kind of stands there, not sure where he should sit or anything.]

Thanks for letting me come over on such short notice like this.

[He'll just close the door once Emil's inside.]

Don't worry about it. [And heading over to the couch now.] Well, make yourself at home.

I brought that soup I said I'd make for you-- it's split pea, so Jonah should be able to have some too. I asked Judith and she thought it would be all right for him to eat.

[He holds up a thermos to show what he means.]

Huh ... Thanks. [Thankfully, Yuri didn't head too far from Emil, so he'll just be turning around and heading back to get that thermos from him.] I'm sure Jonah will appreciate having something a little different, as well.

Has he started walking yet? He should be almost old enough to do that, right?
