[Talking with Adele the other day had served to remind Emil that he really needs to do more about publicizing Brave Vesperia. Okay, so he's been sort of slacking on that end lately, he'll admit to that, but he doesn't want to disappoint Yuri and Zack if they ever return. He owes it to them to do his best as a leader, and that's what he's going to do.

That's why he picks up his journal this afternoon to make an announcement.]

Hi everyone! My name is Emil Castagnier, and I'm one of the leaders of Brave Vesperia here in Luceti. I know I haven't really done much with it since Yuri and Zack left, but it's a guild dedicated to helping people around the village-- we'll do just about anything that needs doing, like helping find lost things, or even building buildings. Anyone can join if they want... you don't need special skills or anything. You just have to want to help out.

Anyway, I just wanted to remind everyone that it exists in case people want to join or have something that they want to ask us to do for them. I'll be down at the barracks for the rest of the afternoon if you want to stop by and sign up or if you have a job you want us to do.

Oh, um, and would the members who are still here mind checking in with me? I'm not sure who all is still around anymore. Only if you're still interested, that is. It's okay if you're not. I haven't exactly been the best leader lately.

[Once he finishes his announcement, he'll head down to the barracks, where he'll stay for the rest of the afternoon in the hopes that some people will stop by.]

What about finding people?

Sure, we can do that too. Who did you need to find?

No one in particular. It was more curiosity than anything I need--I'd take care of things myself if it came down to it. [ for the most part. and the person he'd want to be searched for left this place a while back ]

Oh, okay. Well, if you ever do need us to look for anyone, just let me know. It shouldn't be too hard to track someone down around here. I mean, there are only so many places they could go.

Even if they've been kidnapped?

... I don't know if we could do much of anything for that.

Then, I'm not interested.

The only person I'm interested in finding is gone from here.

Oh... I'm sorry. I wish there was something we could do to help. But... that means they're safe at home, right?

[ a brief pause ] He's bound to do something incredibly reckless without me.

This place is pretty tame for the both of us and some others here, anyways.

Actually, time doesn't pass in our worlds while we're here, so he won't be doing anything without you. You don't have to worry about that at all.

And the only way someone could've known that is to leave here and come back, right?

Right, and that's happened to a whole bunch of people by now.

Seriously?

Seriously. It happened to a couple of people from my world... they went home for a while, and then when they came back here, they said they returned home at exactly the same moment they'd left.

I've heard that people sometimes come back with no memory at all, too.

Yeah, that's what usually happens. It's more rare that they come back and do remember. But some people have come back several times and remembered being here every time.

Whether time passes at home or not, that sounds annoying.

Not as annoying as when they kidnap you.

Did that happen to you?

Twice so far... I think I've been pretty lucky compared to some people who get kidnapped a lot.

[ At this point, Killua is really just getting information from him. He doesn't even really bother to ask if it's okay--it'd be strange for him to in the first place ] Do you remember what it was like?

[Fine by Emil, since he's been around for so long that he's used to people asking him all sorts of weird questions.]

Yeah, and I wish I didn't. I can still remember all of the things they did to me while I was with them. It wasn't a pleasant experience at all.

No one would be wary of being kidnapped in the first place if it was pleasant.

If they aren't the ones who sent us here, then what's the reason for experimenting on us?

I'm not sure. I think they're using us as experiments to see if they can find a way home for themselves, since they're trapped here just like we are. At least, that's what people say. It would make sense, too.
