[It was over. Everything was over now. And once again, much as it was after they had dealt with Diavolo, Emil finds himself limping back home, exhausted and in pain and vaguely sick at the realization that they'd had to kill Zelman to end all of this. Although he wasn't the one who struck the killing blow, it still distresses him to know that he played a role in the whole thing. At least everyone is safe now... right? He takes his journal out and opens it to ask.]

I-is everyone all right? It's... we stopped Zelman. It's over now... [His voice is tired, shaky, with a slight note of disbelief.]

[Now he just hopes he can make it home without collapsing first.]

[At the sound of the knock, Emil climbs out of bed and makes his way over to the door to open it for Mithos, blanket still wrapped around his shoulders.]

Hello, Mithos. [He gives the other boy a quick look-over.] Are you sure you're all right? I mean, you were hurt pretty badly the other day...

It looked worse than it was, but either way, Richter healed me so I'm fine now.

But you don't look well at all, Emil.

[Well, Emil would be worried even if he knew; that's just the way he is.]

Richter's really good at healing and magic. It's pretty amazing... I wish I could use magic like that.

[Fanboy mode, go.]

I'm all right, just a little tired. I'll be fine once I rest a bit more.

[He forces a smile, but he still looks rather pale and a bit shaky.]

Maybe you should go lay down, then. Is there anything I can get you?

[Rats, looks like the smile didn't work on Mithos either. He should've known when he couldn't fool Richter with it.]

I'm kind of thirsty...

[And his cheeks do look a bit flushed.]

Alright, you go back to bed and I'll get you some water.

[With another little forced smile, he nods and makes his way back to his bed in the living area of the apartment.]

[Carefully he takes the water and sips at it.]

[He's trying to hide it, really... at least his injuries have been mostly taken care of thanks to Richter's magic.

He finishes the water and sets the empty glass down on the bedside table.]

I'm sorry for making you come all the way here...

I don't mind, really. I'd be worried for you to be here by yourself after everything that's happened.

I'm all right. And what about you, you got attacked, didn't you?

[Emil looks concerned.]

I didn't get bitten. That's the important thing, right?

Right. I fought one of the vampires... I think.
