[His voice is tired and shaky, but with an obviously forced cheerfulness.]

I, um... i-if I did anything to hurt anyone during this experiment, I-I'm really sorry. Everyone else is okay, r-right? Some of the things people got turned into were pretty scary.. I'm g-glad this is all over with.

I-I hope we don't have another experiment like that any time soon. I think I liked the ones that didn't involve being changed into anything b-better.

[OOC: Yeah, the kid is stammering like crazy because he's sitting out in the snow without a coat. Ratatosk, you are a genius.]

[She hovers near him, checking his wounds and giving some more healing.]

I have some snacks... would you like a bit of a muffin, dear?

[The mention of food serves to remind him of just how hungry he is... in fact, he can't even remember the last time he had anything to eat.]

Y-yes, please!

Haa, very well. One moment. [she opens that little basket after she finishes healing, and pulls out a muffin for him. And one for herself, since this is all quite a bit of work and she's starting to feel a bit weary herself.]

[That muffin is gone in a matter of seconds once it's in his hand-- looks like he really was starving. At least he's feeling well enough to eat now, which is a good sign.]

[Boys and their scarfing down of meals. She's still working through hers, though she glances at him] One more?

[... whoops, totally forgot his manners there.]

I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to--

Oh, it's perfectly fine. You must be terribly famished, and it'll help you regain your strength.

Well, I am kind of hungry...

Here you go, Emil. [She hands him another.] I always believe in being prepared.

[He's got enough strength back to smile, at least.]

[Emil vs. the muffin, round two. Fight!]

[That's always a relief to see. She smiles, working on finishing her own. They really shouldn't be waiting for too long in the cold, after all.]

[Once he finishes the muffin he sits back and wraps the cloak more tightly around himself while he waits. Although he's trying to hide it, he's still shivering.]

[And the best cure for that is to get the blood pumping again. Musette's starting to feel the cold herself, so once she finishes her muffin, she smiles over at him]

Ready, dear?

[This time he manages to get to his feet on his own with the aid of the tree.]

[She's still there to provide support, of course, getting to her feet and waiting for him]

[Oh, he still needs the support if he's going to make it back to his house. Once he's steady enough on his feet, he leans on her so they can continue their trip back.]

[And they're off again, the derp and the old lady, trudging through the forest. It is an adorable image, however. And Musette's humming again, trying to keep his spirits up.]

[Emil is really starting to think that, if he had a grandmother, he would want her to be exactly like Musette. He's never had someone who's looked out for him quite like this.]

[And she's more than happy to look out for him. She just wishes he'd open up to her a bit more.]

[He still hasn't opened up to Richter completely and the two of them have been together for more than two months, so.]

[She'll get you. Someday. For now she's just going to keep helping him home.]

[That's fine with him. He needs to get indoors where it's warm.]

[And they're out of the forest! It shouldn't be too much longer now.]

[Which is good, as it's growing harder for Emil to keep going now, though he tries valiantly to hide it.]

[She notices, but it'll be easier if they just keep going for now.]
