[This isn't the first time Emil has returned home to an uncomfortably quiet house. It's not unusual for H to be out somewhere during the day, but there's something strange about today, a weird feeling in the house that causes a sinking sensation in the pit of Emil's stomach. Hoping against hope, he's going to head upstairs and open the door to his housemate's bedroom... only to have his worst fears confirmed.

Once again, his journal falls to the ground with a thud, popping open to record a strained, shaky voice.]

N-no... no, not again... no... please...

[OOC: I know, I'm still on hiatus, but Emil wouldn't not react to his housemate vanishing.]

And he's a very important person, so he needs to be there to do his job. He told me he was a police officer... t-they help protect people and solve crimes. It's good that he's back where he's needed, instead of being a prisoner here like the rest of us.

...where are you? [He assumes you're at home - but he doesn't know where that is.]

[He'll just be sitting on the couch in the living room area, looking rather blank.]

[Knocks and slowly opens the door] Hello?

[At the sound of Vash's voice, he looks up.]

[Walks in and smiles kindly] How you doing?

Huh? I-I'm all right, I guess.

[Though the strain in his voice makes it clear that he's anything but.]

[He'll put a hand on your shoulder] It will be alright.

I know... I know, but... w-what if I never see him again?

Then, be glad for the time that you did have to know him. Besides - you never know what tomorrow will bring. Maybe you will see each other again.

But I don't want the Malnosso to bring him back here and experiment on him again either.

Well, maybe when we find a way out of here - we'll also figure out a way to visit other worlds.
