So that you can help other people, right. It's a good thing that Nala is the easiest one to learn from-- she's the spirit who teaches healing. That'll be the most helpful for what you want it for.

[ So it sure has been a while since Red's seen Caius around, which is a shame because hey, he likes the guy and they'd been sparring on and off together. Trying to get in contact with him hasn't been turning up anything either -- actually, the journal can't find him at all!

So the answer is to visit his house with his housemate and their fun yapping dog. Knock knock knock! Trainer with a pikachu on his shoulder outside this door! ]

[29th August, house #04]

[Said fun yapping dog is bounding out the front door almost as soon as Emil opens it to greet Red and his pikachu. Hey friends! Hello there friends!

Emil, on the other hand, looks a little more subdued, but no less pleased to see the guests. Although given the timing of this visit, he's got a guess as to just what the subject of it might happen to be...]

Oh, hey Red!

[Then he addresses his dog:]

Hachi, leave him alone, he'll pet you if you stop trying to jump on him.

[pokeboy]

Heh, it's okay. [ Red is more than used to the dog, even if he doesn't see him that often - Hachi just leaves such a good impression. But Red does bend down to give the dog some pampering, Pikachu giving the dog a pi-pi-pi! himself like a bark. A friendly fun thing, something he's done since they first met. ]

Sorry if you were busy! [ He ruffles his fingers against Hachi's sides, looking up to Emil. ] I was just wondering if-- [ he glances down at Hachi as he pauses, but then back to Emil ] um, I was just wondering if Caius was around?

No, it's fine!

[With a happy yip, Hachi does finally stop barking once he starts getting the attention he wanted. His tail will still keep wagging like crazy, though, because he has to let them know that he's happy somehow.

Emil laughs a little as he watches this scene, amused and glad that Red isn't bothered by Hachi's overenthusiastic greeting. But his smile fades somewhat when the other boy mentions Caius' name-- yes, he'd thought it probably had something to do with that.]

Actually, um...

... he went home just a few days ago. I'm sorry.

[ There was some nice open land around the South-East portion of the village still available inside the barrier, not giving to much privacy but allowing for more movement than the forming clumps of trees.

Red's days were usually a combination of waking, eating, sleeping, training, and helping out. He still had the training he did with those willing to guide him, though a lack of a training ground like the battle dome or even the rough mountains lowered how much could be done in the same amount of time in the future.

But that was no reason to slack, and it just meant more creativity was needed to get the most out of their sessions.

Nearing to the area, the small ruckus caused by Venusaur and Snorlax's one-on-one was likely to both be seen and heard. The two pokémon who would get the most out of each other, and then Pikachu's opponent -- was Red himself. The small and nimble pokémon served as a target for Red's staff, and Red's staff acted as an object to dodge. There was no time to stop moving for long, with Pikachu whacking his tail against the staff each chance that he could get. If Red got frustrated, Pikachu knew just the way to take advantage of that, using a low and bent back to jump and perch on top of.

Red hadn't wanted him to go easy on him, after all!

It didn't often take long for each person to focus on what they were doing, Red allowing for Snorlax and Venusaur to make their own decisions. The young trainer was dressed in his martial arts uniform, the same colour of his name.

So. Cool beans. Much training, much sweating. ]

[The smaller size of the barrier has left Emil feeling oddly claustrophobic, even though he doesn't tend to venture out that far into the forest on a regular basis. It's more the knowledge that their world has gotten that much smaller that makes him feel uneasy, and that unease makes him restless, leading to long walks through the woods with Sial and Hachi for company.

It's on one such walk that he happens to stumble across Red's training session, though it takes him a moment to realize that's what's going on, as his attention is initially drawn to Venusaur and Snorlax's spar. It's a little alarming until he notices that they aren't fighting to hurt each other, just to practice, and thus he relaxes somewhat and just watches them for a few moments.

Eventually, however, his gaze wanders over to Red and Pikachu; when he sees them, he smiles and waves, not really thinking about the fact that this might not be the best course of action when someone is in the middle of a spar.]

Oh, hey Red!

[ It's Red's own fault for not paying more attention; he shouldn't get so completely absorbed as he's told his pokémon back home off for. Pikachu and Venusaur are the most aware of their visitors, and Pikachu takes advantage of it in particular when Red's head turns instantly with a ] Huh? [ to look for their company; the little mouse uses the halted staff to jump onto, bounce, and thump the whole of his flopped body right on top of Red's head. ] Erk--!

[ Fortunately for Pikachu he keeps his place on his new rest, erupting into cheeky giggles while Red makes a low irritated whine, more sulky than serious. Red puts a hand over Pikachu's body when he lifts his head back up, finally getting to properly see who their company is. ]

Oh-- hey guys. What's up?

[ Pleeeaseee don't laugh at him too, even with that total what up cool guy face Pikachu is currently wearing. Yo guys. ]

[Emil starts to reach out one hand when Pikachu leaps, intent on warning Red about what's going to happen... except that the entire thing is too fast and Pikachu ends up on top of the other boy's head before he can really get any words out.

Whoops.]

Sorry about that... I guess I should've waited until you were done before interrupting you like that, huh?

[He's trying very, very hard not to smile TOO much. It's not very successful.]
